Ensuring ALL Students Achieve Their Greatest Potential

Dyslexia Information

Dyslexia Information

Between January and April of 2024, Perrysburg Schools will be giving the short assessment that we’ve mentioned in previous communications as part of a new requirement from the Ohio Department of Education called Dyslexia Support (ORC 3323.251).  The assessments are used to help identify students who are in need of additional support and by classroom teachers to assist in planning lessons and meeting the needs of every child.  We appreciate the trust you have placed in our expertise to do everything possible to meet your expectations and provide a safe and nurturing environment to allow your child to fully reach his or her potential.  After the testing is completed, we will inform families only if your child shows characteristics of Dyslexia based on the scores.  This communication may be included in a report from your child’s teacher or reading specialist or intervention specialist if your child receives services from these professionals.
