Second-Chance/Retake Philosophy
Students who have not shown mastery of content or skills on a summative assessment such as a unit test will have the opportunity for a “second” chance if he or she scores 60% or below on the assessment. When this occurs, teachers will meet with the student to review the material and then will override the initial grade in Schoology with 60% and provide a note regarding the grade change.
