Please Join Us in Giving Back to the Community!
We’re thrilled to announce that this year, our school district will be taking part in
Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) through
Jacket Week of Service Sunday, April 20, 2025 through Sunday, April 27, 2025. GYSD is a global movement that inspires young people to make a positive impact in their communities. This is a great opportunity for all of us to come together, give back, and make a difference—and we want YOU to be a part of it!
Whether it’s cleaning up parks, helping out local charities, or supporting seniors, this day is all about giving back and making our world a better place. All members of our Yellow Jacket community are encouraged to join in!
How You Can Get Involved
We are asking students, families, and community members to pledge to be part of Jacket Day of Service, and that pledge is designed by you to impact the community how you would like, such as a small clean-up event, helping out at a local food bank, or volunteering at a community center. It’s easy to get involved and make a difference:
- Create Your Team: Volunteer individually, form a group with classmates, family, or friends, or volunteer with your club or organization.
- Choose a Project: Select a local cause like park cleanups, food drives, or helping seniors.
- Pledge to Participate: Register your commitment to giving back and making our community stronger!
Participating in Jacket Week of Service not only helps our community, but it also fosters leadership, teamwork, and empathy—qualities that we can carry with us throughout our lives. We can’t wait to see our community come together for this exciting and meaningful experience. Save the dates and get ready to make an impact!
Go Jackets!
