Join Us in Giving Back to the Community!
We’re thrilled to announce that this year, our school district will be taking part in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) through Jacket Week of Service! GYSD is a global movement that inspires young people to make a positive impact in their communities. This is a great opportunity for all of us to come together, give back, and make a difference—and we want YOU to be a part of it!
What is Global Youth Service Day?
Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event of its kind, bringing together youth across the globe to engage in projects that address critical issues in their communities. Whether it’s cleaning up parks, helping out local charities, or supporting seniors, this day is all about giving back and making our world a better place. And this year, our school district is proud to join in!
How You Can Get Involved
We are asking students, families, and community members to join in and be part of our Days of Service. This is a perfect way to:
Volunteer for local causes
Show our community that we care
Build stronger connections with one another
Make a real, lasting impact!
Whether you’re organizing a small clean-up event, helping out at a local food bank, or volunteering at a community center, every effort counts. This is YOUR chance to use your time, talents, and energy to help out and make a difference.
Pledge Your Participation
We want YOU to be part of the action! By pledging your participation, you're committing to help make our community stronger and more connected. It’s easy to get involved and make a difference:
Create Your Team: Volunteer individually, form a group with classmates, family, or friends, or volunteer with your club or organization.
Choose a Project: Select a local cause like park cleanups, food drives, or helping seniors.
Pledge to Participate: Register your commitment to giving back and making our community stronger!
Need funds for your project?
If you’re part of a group or organization and need support for supplies, transportation, or other project-related expenses, you can apply for funding to help bring your project to life. Contact Mrs. Albright ([email protected]) to learn more about the Perrysburg Schools Service Learning Grant.
