Lifewise Provides Biblically based character development during school time and we are thrilled to be launching this coming school year available at Toth and Woodland Elementary.
Is teaching the Bible during the school day really legal?
A: Yes! The concept of released time religious instruction has been upheld multiple times at the U.S. Supreme Court. Released time guidelines both guard against government establishment of any one religion and allow expression of the right to the “free exercise of religion,” also protected by the First Amendment.
Does LifeWise interfere with classes during the school day?
A: No, while classes are held during the school day, they do not interfere with children’s mandatory courses or extracurricular activities. The class schedule is set by school personnel in consultation with LifeWise representatives. Woodland, students will attend during specials at Toth it is during lunch/recess.
 How often are LifeWise classes?
A: Typically, students attend LifeWise once per week for a class lasting between 45 minutes and one hour.
How large are the class sizes?
A: LifeWise classes are usually the size of normal school classes, between 15 and 25 students.:)

Junior Drawing Club
Education
Create: Art Studio and Workshop
Deborah Lambdin
Does your child love to doodle and draw?  Do they spend time drawing their favorite characters? Or create their own characters?
One of our skilled high school interns will share their talent and instruction in drawing, inspiring students to bring their drawings to life.
Over the last several years this club has evolved into its own unique experience. Junior Drawing Club is almost like a phenomenon.  This innovative class has been developed to allow kids the freedom to draw anything they can imagine. We didn’t come up with the idea, it naturally developed on its own. Junior Drawing club is lite on specific instruction, but heavy on creativity. It is a place for young artists to be themselves, surrounded by like-minded peers. The class is what they make of it. Some kids leave with a full sketchbook, others leave with new friends and some students accomplish both. We asked our students what THEY wanted, and this is it. It is definitely something special.
Students will explore in their sketchbooks to create favorite anime and animated characters from popular culture and weekly drawing themes.  Also, they will have the opportunity to work on individual styles of drawing and original characters.  Drawing games are often take place during club to foster a social time of creativity.   This club is designed for your child to explore drawing in a fun environment so they can enjoy the art of drawing even more.  Participants will receive a sketchbook and utilize graphite, colored pencil, ink, and at times watercolor to create their drawings!

Beyond Healthcare is gauging interest for a full-day summer program for youth ages 8-12 in the Perrysburg area.  If you have a child who has an IEP, or struggles with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other challenges, and may be interested in a skills-based summer program, please reach out to us.  The program would partially be covered by insurance if you qualify, and located in Perrysburg.  This may be the ideal program if your child has a hard time in traditional daycare settings, but needs full-time summer support.
