On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, Perrysburg Schools will conduct a reunification exercise or drill at Hull Prairie Intermediate School to test, assess and evaluate our reunification processes that could be needed at any of our facilities. The purpose of the reunification exercise is to practice and assess our processes to reunify students with their families following an evacuation or crisis event. Representatives from the Perrysburg Police and Fire Departments, along with city and district officials, will be onsite to observe the exercise and will debrief with our employees after the event.
Traffic around HPI may be slow or rerouted throughout the duration of the drill. From 10:45 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, Hull Prairie Road will be closed south of the roundabout to Old Dover Road. This is a traffic pattern we may use in an actual emergency, but different situations may call for different traffic flow. Families will be taking Five Point Road and turning north onto Hull Prairie Road, turning right on Old Dover Road, turning left onto Brampton Park Road, turning left on Canterbury Boulevard and turning right to enter HPI. They will all leave HPI by turning right on Roachton Road.
We are very grateful to our HPI families and our entire community for their support in practicing this important process to help us improve our emergency planning efforts!
