Understanding PowerSchool and Schoology

Following please find information about two tools available to parents and guardians – PowerSchool and Schoology. These two systems have different purposes that supplement each other.

Kindergarten - Grade 4
For students in Kindergarten through Grade 4, parents and guardians do not need to access PowerSchool. Families of students in grades K-4 do need to access Schoology. Information will be sent home prior to the end of the second week of school reviewing basic navigation and use. Families of Kindergarten students and families of students new to the school district will receive information on creating an account and linking the account to their child(ren) at the beginning of each school year. We use Schoology to communicate classroom information and it may be used in the event that distance learning is needed.

Grades 5 – 12
In grades 5-12, PowerSchool and Schoology are used together to inform families of classroom assignments and cumulative progress.
