Juniors and Seniors - Colleges visiting PHS
Representatives from many colleges will be visiting PHS throughout the fall. These visits are wonderful opportunities for students to learn more about colleges they might be interested in attending and to gain valuable information about applying, scholarships and financial aid. To see a complete list of colleges that will be visiting and to sign up (sign ups are required), please visit the Colleges tab in Naviance.

Naviance/SCOIR
Perrysburg High School has traditionally used Naviance as our college and career planning software. However, this year we will begin transitioning away from Naviance and starting to utilize a new system called SCOIR. Seniors will finish up the year using Naviance to send transcripts and letters of recommendation to colleges. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will all receive training during Enrichment meetings this school year on how to use SCOIR for college and scholarship searching as well as career planning. Please contact Mrs. Czech if you have any questions about these programs.

PSAT
All sophomores will be taking the PSAT beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16. Interested juniors are also encouraged to take the test, as it is the qualifying test for National Merit Scholarship consideration. If you are a junior interested in taking the PSAT, please bring a check made out to Perrysburg High School for $17 to the cashier’s office between September 3 and September 17. Sophomores will be automatically registered.

Link Crew
This program is in its third year at the high school and is designed to provide a smooth transition for freshmen students to the high school, so they have a positive experience and have a great start to the school year. Throughout the school year, Link Leaders will meet with student groups to discuss interests and concerns, share academic advice and plan social and academic activities. This yearlong orientation and transition program helps gear the students up for high school success and creates a positive school culture and climate.

Juniors - College and Career Lunch and Learn
This fall we have an exciting opportunity for juniors called Lunch and Learn: College and Career 101, which will provide students information and help lessen the stress of their senior year. Students will be able to attend the information sessions during their lunch period and learn more about Exploring Careers/College Majors, Searching for Colleges, Factors in Admissions, Understanding the College Application Process and Financial Aid and Scholarships. These sessions will begin in November. Watch your email and the announcements for dates and how to sign up.

Request for College Photos
Did you visit a college campus over the summer and take some great photos? We are looking for new colleges to highlight in our newsletter and would love to use your photos! Please email Mrs. Czech or Mrs. Burks with your photos and you just may see them here next quarter!
