6th Grade Students chosen as Billboard Finalists

Over 400 entries were submitted to the Wood County Solid Waste Management District’s billboard design contest, and three Perrysburg Junior High students in Miss Jackie Derr’s sixth grade STEM class were chosen as finalists: Jae Litten, Kyle Eischen and Andrew Hunt.

Students were given the challenge of coming up with ideas to help promote saving our environment. Their design options included encouraging the use of reusable bags, the recycling of plastic bags or discouraging the littering of plastic bags. Their artwork will be displayed on the 5th floor of the Office Building at the Wood County Courthouse during the month of May. Way to go, students!
