October ended on a high note for the Perrysburg High School Cheerleaders. The Yellow Jackets competed in the Northern Lakes League tournament this past weekend against cheerleading programs from fellow NLL schools. The athletes knew they needed to prepare and work diligently in order to defend their title. They have won the tournament title since its inception in 2018. This year, the athletes swept all three categories of competition including Sideline, Cheer and Fight Song. Jacket Cheerleading is led by coaches Sydney Marrs, Karen Kinzig and Stacy Pruitt. The tournament marks the end of an unprecedented football season for the Yellow Jackets and the program would like to sincerely thank Perrysburg High School, Jacket Cheer parents and the community for their roles in making this season possible.
