Public Welcome at PHS Community Garden Planting Event Tuesday, May 19
Last year, Perrysburg High School students Kayla & Lauren Piezer established a two-bed community garden at Perrysburg High School. With their graduation coming up this May, we have been working hard to find faculty, staff members, students and community members interested in keeping the garden going. We have a great team coming together, but we are in need of volunteers.
All members of the community are welcome to join us for a Planting Event on Tuesday, May 19 at 3:15 p.m. We will meet at the garden, which is to the north side of the teacher parking lot/Ft. Meigs Road side of Perrysburg High School (13385 Roachton Road). Volunteers are welcome to just show up—supplies will be provided, but you are also welcome to come with shovels, gloves and some plants to donate, such as peppers, tomatoes, cabbages, potatoes and marigolds.
