Perrysburg Junior High’s athletic programs have again earned the Northern Lakes League Junior High All-Sports Trophy Award. This is the second time in the four-year history of the award that the Yellow Jackets have won. The trophy is given at the end of the year to the member school that earns the most points throughout the school year. Points are earned for each championship, and runner-up finish. This year the award is being shared with Timberstone Junior High, as there was a tie in the final point total. Perrysburg led the competition most of the year, as both the 7th and 8th grade girl’s volleyball teams captured NLL championships. The Jacket wrestling team highlighted the winter season as they continued their dominance within the league, and won the NLL championship again. The girls 8th grade basketball team, who were league champions last year as 7th graders, repeated as NLL champions to close out a fantastic junior high campaign. Additionally, the girls 7th grade basketball team ended up as NLL runner-ups to finalize the Yellow Jackets scoring for the NLL All-Sports Trophy.
