PHS Students participate in 2015 NW Regional Orchestra


On November 15, 29 students from Perrysburg High School auditioned for and were accepted to participate with the 2015 NW Regional Orchestra. The students performed music from The Moldau by Bedrick Smetana, Ase's Death from Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg and Symphony No. 2 in D major Finale by Jean Sibelius. The guest conductor was Dr. Stephen Gage from Youngstown State University.

PHS students: Erin Gardiner, Grace Ann Nofziger, Nicole Cogan, Sarah Kulmatycki, Ashley Shim, violins - Allison Selley, Emma Viles, Lauren Rodgers, Nathan Englehart, Erin Kulmatycki, violas - Elaine Park, Ralph Zhang, James Corbo, Megan Smith, Madison Schaefer, Elizabeth Huff, Halie Taylor, cellos - Ryan Smith, Alyssa Rodriguez, Hunter Logan, Ethan Best, Alex Gauthier, Karter Seitz, Andrew Boring, bass - Hannah Kloster, harp - Mitchell Grilliot, horn - Stephen Strouse, Rachel Hertzfeld, trumpet - Ryan Reffert, trombone.

“I am very proud of how hard the students worked to perform some very challenging literature. They did an amazing job!” stated Mr. Michael Smith, PHS Orchestra Director.
