Smith resigns from Board of Education

Cal Smith resigned from the Board of Education at the meeting on Monday, September 15, 2016. He did not complete his first term in office, having been elected on November 5, 2013. In Mr. Smith’s resignation letter, he gave no reason for his resignation. The Board of Education may advertise the open position 10 days after the resignation, which was accepted by the Board of Education at the meeting. The Board of Education plans to fill the position by appointment within 30 days of the resignation. More information about the application process will be shared with the community as soon as it becomes available. At the Board meeting, Superintendent Thomas L. Hosler thanked Mr. Smith for his service to the Board of Education.
