AIA Toledo High School Design Competition Award Winners

2016 Award Winners in the 66th AIA Toledo High School Design Competition

Perrysburg’s architecture class took part in the 2016 AIA Toledo High School Design Competition.


Ashley Dibling and Chris Fletcher took First and Second Place, respectively, for the Freshman/Sophomore Architecture Competition. Drew Thomford and David Smith took Third and Fourth Place, respectively, for the Senior Architectural Competition. Abby Kitcher, far right, won First Place for the Young Architects Forum Material Innovation Competition, as well as, Second Place for the Junior Architecture Competition. First, Second and Third Place award winners were offered $10,000, $5,000 and $2,000 five-year renewable scholarships from Lawrence Technological University and University of Detroit Mercy. Pictured, left, with the students is Rick Butera, Associate from the Edge, who volunteers his time to work with the students. Also, pictured is instructor Jeff Smith.
