On Saturday, April 17th, Perrysburg Rowing competed at the Summit City Sprints regatta in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The team raced 13 boats against crews from 6 visiting teams, including Culver Academies, Lake Leelanau Rowing Club, Glorious Gate Rowing Association, Wabash Valley Crew, Loyola Rowing and Indianapolis Rowing Center, making for an exciting and competitive day of rowing. Perrysburg Rowing boats earned three 1st place medals! Here are the team results from the regatta:
Men's Novice 4: Caleb Cope, Ogi Marijan, Bryan Zhang, Sri Vuppala and coxswain Courtney Louderback finished 3rd with a time 4:35, defeating Wabash Valley Crew.
Men's Varsity 2+: Miller Zachel and Jacob Keilman finished 1st with a time of 4:01.
Men's Varsity 2+: Xander Zarobinski and Landon Graham finished 2nd with a time of 4:08.
Men's JV 2x: Sean Kucic and Andy Gudgeon finished 1st out of 4 with a time of 4:00.
Women's Varsity 2x: Ava Bockbrader and Bailey Vogel finished 4th with a time of 4:33.
Men's Varsity 1x: Tim Voltz finished 1st in his race with a time of 4:33.
Women's JV 4+: Lexi Axe, Grace Navarette, Maggie Pummill, Anna Harbauer and coxswain Keith Ohanian finished 2nd out of 3 with a time of 4:40, defeating Lake Leelanau Rowing Club.
Women's Varsity 4: Alice Schmidt, Bailey Vogel, Addie Swartzmiller, Grace Burkin and coxswain Jacob Neifert finished 3rd out of 4, defeating Culver Academies.
Men's Varsity 4: Xander Zarobinski, Landon Graham, Tim Voltz, Sean Kucic and coxswain Mairead Dalton finished 7th with a time of 4:06.
Men's Varsity 4: Joe Cobb, Noah Vasko, Ashton Collum, Isaac Burkin and coxswain Luke Ermie finished 8th with a time of 4:09.
Women's Novice 8: Hattie Smith, Lauren Manges, Addy Rowley, Myra Smith, Ryan Nordahl, Averi Osier, Delanee Burr, Sophia Trendel and coxswain Cassidy Milligan finished 5th with a time of 4:18, defeating Culver Academies.
Women's Varsity 8: Ava Bockbrader, Bailey Vogel, Alice Schmidt, Grace Burkin, Addie Swartzmiller, Lexi Axe, Anna Harbauer, Grace Navarette and coxswain Jacob Neifert finished 6th with a time of 4:13.
Men's Varsity 8: Joe Cobb, Ethan Gruden, Jacob Keilman, Miller Zachel, Noah Vasko, Ashton Collum, Andy Gudgeon, Isaac Burkin, and coxswain Mairead Dalton finished 5th with a time of 3:52.
