OMEA Virtual Professional Development Conference
Congratulations to the Perrysburg High School Symphony Orchestra and the Perrysburg High School Wind Ensemble for being accepted to perform at the 2021 OMEA Virtual Professional Development Conference in February. Each ensemble was selected to perform through a recorded application process that was completed last May 31, 2020, and notification of acceptance was received in September. From hundreds of applications, the PHS Symphony Orchestra was one of three high school orchestras accepted, and the Wind Ensemble was selected as one of five high school bands from across Ohio to perform for the conference. It is rare to have two ensembles selected from the same school during the same conference year.

The PHS Symphony Orchestra performance will be broadcasted on Thursday, February 4, at 6:30 p.m., and the PHS Wind Ensemble performance will be broadcasted on Friday, February 5, at 8:00 p.m.

All 2021 OMEA virtual concerts are set to premiere on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWvmgZd2pP0BjYuUIrMed6Q. Viewers may wish to subscribe prior to the event to make it easier to find later. No password is required, and all performances are free and open to the public. Concerts will play on-demand after the initial broadcast, and be available through midnight on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
