Communications Task Force
Help Shape the Future of Communication at Perrysburg Schools!

Purpose
The Perrysburg Schools Communications Task Force will be a volunteer advisory group reporting to the Board of Education Community Engagement Committee. The group will collaborate with the Committee and district leadership to evaluate and enhance how the school district communicates with students, families, staff members, and the broader community.
 
 Goals
- Evaluate current communication vehicles, frequency, and effectiveness 
- Develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan 
- Establish school district-wide communication goals and objectives 
- Create a unifying brand statement draft
- Identify key audiences and most effective outreach channels 
- Define targeted messages (not mission and vision) aligned with school district goals 
- Help establish metrics to track communication impact 
- Recommend strategies to proactively address misinformation, especially on social media
- Establish the role of the Communications Task Force in future community engagement activities and planning
 
Structure
- 6–10 volunteers from the Perrysburg community
- Professionals in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, digital media, or related fields
- May break into smaller subgroups focused on:
  - Website
  - Social Media
  - Traditional Communication Channels (newsletters, print, etc.)
  - Content production
 
 Timeline
- Applications accepted through May 5, 2025
- Task Force meets 6:00–7:30 p.m. on May 15 & 29 and June 12 & 26, 2025
 
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking volunteers who:
- Have professional experience in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, graphic design, branding, or community engagement
- Are collaborative thinkers who bring strategic insight and creative energy
- Understand multi-platform communication and how to reach diverse audiences
- Have a strong interest in public education and civic involvement
- Must be able to attend four meetings at the Board Office, at 6:00–7:30 p.m. on May 15 & 29 and June 12 & 26, 2025
