Julia has consistently challenged herself with College Credit plus courses, Honors and Advanced Placement throughout high school, in which she has thrived.

Julia has lived in three different countries: Brazil, Spain and the United States and she speaks five languages. When Julia started at PHS as a freshman, she did not speak English.
She has since been a part of the following clubs at PHS:
  • DECA competitor: 1st for District and top 10 in the State
  • Interact Club
  • National Honors Society
  • Philanthropy Club
  • Quilting
  • Robotics
  • SOS Tutoring
  • Spanish Club co-president and recently held an event to teach students to dance the Meringue

“She is a great student with an amazing heart. She completes her work with integrity and always to the best of her ability. She shares her opinions in class in a respectful way and is a great role model for her peers,” shared Danielle Tulodzieski, Spanish Teacher.

“Julia has a passion for whatever she is doing. Her smiling face was always present for others. She enthusiastically contributed to class. Her attention to detail while completing her AP Psychology work was the norm,” shared Mrs. Terri Camp, Social Studies Teacher.

“Julia is extremely motivated and worked hard over the summer to get in a position to take advanced science and math classes this year. And the icing on the cake — she comes to class every day with a smile on her face,” shared Nate Ash, Physics Teacher.

“Julia is one of the sweetest polite students I have had and her desire to overachieve is remarkable,” shared Becky Byrd, Marketing Instructor/DECA Advisor.

Best wishes at OSU, Julia!
