This is a new position in the school district with the goal of providing support for families, linking families with community resources and helping eliminate barriers that are impacting a student's ability to access their education. Chris and her team of interns work collaboratively with the school team and partner with families to provide the best support available for our students and families.

She is a licensed social worker, licensed professional clinical counselor and a licensed school counselor. Chris is passionate about advocating for all students and providing support for children and families. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and enjoys running and hiking. If you have any questions for Chris, would like to talk further about the services provided from the Social Work Department or think your family would benefit from the support of the District Social Work Team, please feel free to contact Chris at [email protected].

Junior Information
It's that time of year again when we meet with our juniors to discuss their plans for after graduation. Juniors should have completed a pre-survey on Schoology so your school counselor may call you down for an appointment during the months of October and November to talk about post-secondary plans, credits towards graduation, graduation seals, College Credit Plus information, ACT/SAT testing and anything else that will help to narrow down what you are planning to do after high school.

Senior Information
Early Action Deadlines Quickly Approaching
This is a reminder to all seniors that our Early Action deadlines are approaching for many colleges. November 1, November 15 and December 1 serve as Early Action deadlines for many colleges and it is critical to have all materials (applications, fees, transcripts, ACT/SAT scores and letters of recommendation, if needed) submitted by these dates for admission decisions. The Early Action deadlines also serve as a merit scholarship deadline for many colleges as well. Please contact Mrs. Czech if you have any questions about these upcoming deadlines or about how to have materials submitted.

FAFSA/CSS Profile
All seniors planning to attend college next year should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the assistance of their parents or guardians. Completing the FAFSA is the only way to receive college financial aid assistance (grants, loans and Federal Work Study) from federal and state governments. Some institutions require information from the FAFSA in order to award scholarships as well. Please visit https://fafsa.ed.gov/ to complete the FAFSA.
If you would like additional assistance with completing the FAFSA, Owens Community College is hosting FAFSA workshops throughout the month of October, learn more and register here - https://www.owens.edu/financial_aid/fafsa-workshop/.

Scholarship Information
The winter months see a rise in the availability of local scholarship applications. A running Google Spreadsheet of these will be kept in the Class of 2022 Schoology group Resources folder so please check there frequently for current opportunities (it is also linked here). Also, in February, every senior will be able to fill out the Local Scholarship Common Application. Filling out this one scholarship application puts students in the running for over 50 local scholarships (including all scholarships through Perrysburg Schools Foundation). Keep an eye out for more information about the application in February!
