Tara Zechman receives Presidential Award!
Perrysburg High School
Tara Zechman, Mathematics Teacher at Perrysburg High School, has been selected to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)! The PAEMST program, administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) on behalf of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, recognizes outstanding teachers for their contributions to the teaching and learning of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each awardee receives a $10,000 award from NSF and will travel to Washington, D.C., for an awards ceremony.

Six Ohio educators are among 336 teachers and mentors receiving national recognition as recipients of the PAEMST and the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM). The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching are the nation's highest honors for mathematics and science teachers. These awards recognize the vital role that America’s teachers and mentors play in shaping the next generation of technical leaders, such as scientists, engineers, explorers, and innovators.
