Perrysburg teachers and alumni contributed to Implementing Reflective Practice in the K–12 Classroom, showcasing innovative ways to use "SOAP" notes, Subjective Observation Assessing Planning, for professional growth. Each chapter offers unique insights into how reflective practices can enhance teaching across different subjects and experience levels.
Congratulations to contributing authors from Perrysburg Schools:

Edited and authored by PHS alumna Dr. Joanna C. Weaver who also taught English at Perrysburg High School in 1993-1994; and now is the AYA-ILA Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of AYA-ILA at Bowling Green State University.
SOAP Notes originated in the medical community, and PHS Alumna, Lindsay Brooks, Pharm D., wrote a chapter connecting SOAP Notes to the medical profession.
The book demonstrates how critical reflection can unlock new strategies, recognize instructional strengths, identify student needs, and improve classroom outcomes. We are so proud to see so many Yellow Jackets involved in this important project!
