Perrysburg Boys Cross Country Team advances to State Championships

The Perrysburg Boys Cross Country Team won the NW Regional Championship for the first time in school history on Saturday at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin. With their victory, the boys advance to the State Championships in Obetz, Ohio next Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Senior Marc Baroncini was the overall winner in 15:56, improving on his runner-up finish from last season. Senior Ben Keller also qualified with an eighth place finish in 16:29. Senior Kieffer Doore (17th place, 17:17), Sophomore Andrew Beeks (21st place, 17:22) and Senior Sam Gillen (22nd place, 17:23) also earned All-Region honors.
 
The Jackets have qualified for the State Championships for five consecutive years. Previous finishes: 2016 - 20th, 2017 - 12th, 2018 - 11th and 2019 - 16th.
