Perrysburg Schools is committed to helping students and staff members use Artificial Intelligence (AI) thoughtfully, safely, and responsibly. Guided by
Ohio’s AI Toolkit and our
Portrait of a Jacket competencies, we view AI as a tool that enhances creativity, problem-solving, and communication while keeping human judgment and integrity at the center of learning.
Our approach prioritizes student privacy, transparency, and ethical use. All approved AI tools undergo a district-level review for data security and compliance with
Board Policy 7540.09. Teachers and staff members receive guidance and resources to ensure AI supports—not replaces—authentic learning experiences.
