Orchestra and Vocal Students Prepare for Mamma Mia!
Instrumental director Michael Smith, accompanist Nicole Spadafore and co-directors Rob Gentry and Kent Vandock work collaboratively to create opportunities for students to grow and succeed musically. Vandock noted: “I’ve been impressed with the progress the students have made and their commitment to sharing a truly polished musical experience with their peers, families, friends and community members.”

For the cast and orchestra members of the musical, preparation began in early February. Vocalists and orchestra members have dedicated many hours working through and refining the music for this show. According to Smith: "This year's show only required a small pit of mostly electronic instruments. We are fortunate to have eight Perrysburg High School student musicians performing playing keyboards, electric guitar, violin and cello."

In Mamma Mia!, Sophie is ready to marry her fiancée Sky, except for one thing - she has never met her father and wants him present for the big day. She invites three men that she discovers in her mother’s diary and believes to be candidates, but when they all arrive, Sophie’s mother Donna becomes distressed. As Sophie, Sky, Donna, her friends and the three potential fathers prepare for the big day, emotions run high.
