Lady Jackets 8-1 on the Season
The Perrysburg Girls Lacrosse Team has lost only one game to the Ann Arbor Pioneers. Many of the games have been very strong showings by the Jackets. They started off the season with a good win against Southview, final score 15-3. Followed by Northview at 13-1 then Ottawa Hills for a 15-3 win. Two teams traveled from eastern Ohio to play the Jackets on April 6th. The girls dominated, winning 23-6 against Olmstead Falls and 21-2 vs Green High School. On April 10th they travelled to Anthony Wayne to win 21-3.

On April 12th, Notre Dame stayed close in the first half but the Jackets had a strong 2nd half to win 7-4. Scoring a hat trick against NDA was Emma Carter. Lydia Knowlton had two goals with Olivia Alvarado and Alayna Dunphy having one goal each. Goalie Delaney Rimer had two stops.

The Jackets had another great performance as they headed to Central Catholic on April 16th to win 15-5. Goals were Katie McCullough (4), Carter (3), Alvarado (3), Dunphy (2), Knowlton (1), Sarah Olmstead (1) and Julia Irwin (1). Rimer had 5 goalie stops and Hannah Davis 3.

As coach Sierra Wagoner reflected on the season so far, she said: “As our season continues, the hope is for our players to continue to get stronger mentally and physically, as our game schedule gets stronger and tougher. Our ten seniors are hungry and are leading our team in more ways than one. I am excited to see what the second half of the season brings.”
