Boyce named OHSBCA Paul Walker Award Recipient
David Boyce, Perrysburg High School Assistant Principal and Head Basketball Coach, has been named the 2019 recipient of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association’s Paul Walker Award. The award is given annually to an active coaching member of the association who has made significant contributions to high school basketball. Mr. Boyce will receive the award at a ceremony in March 2019.

The award is named in the honor of the late Paul Walker, the longtime coach of Middletown High School. At the time of his retirement, he had 695 wins – the most wins as Boys Basketball Coach in Ohio High School Basketball History.

“Besides the Hall of Fame, this is the most prestigious award given by OHSBCA,” shared Perrysburg Schools Athletic Director Chuck Jaco. “One coach out of 1,600 in the state receives it each year and the list of recipients is impressive. This award demonstrates the hard work and dedication of Mr. Boyce and the example he sets, not only for our students, but for coaches throughout the state.”
