Summer Feeding Programs
We would like to share the following information with you about two summer feeding programs in our community this summer.

TUESDAYS

St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church along with several area places of worship are hosting a summer feeding program for Perrysburg students who participate in the free or reduced lunch program during the school year.

Lunches will be served once a week on Tuesdays through August 14, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m. onsite at Perry Lake Apartments in the outdoor shelter area.

There will be activities for the children during the lunch service. All school-age children are welcome.

Any questions may be directed to [email protected].

FRIDAYS

Feed Our Families is a summer lunch and grocery program established in 2008 by Zoar Lutheran Church (314 E. Indiana Ave.) for families in the Northwest Wood County school districts who have limited incomes. Their focus is providing food for the families of children who qualify for the government subsidized breakfast and lunch programs during the school year. A hot meal is served each Friday from early June through mid-August and an adult from each family is allowed to shop in their pantry for a week’s worth of breakfast and lunch foods. Their pantry is stocked with child-friendly options, as well as frozen meat, produce, dairy and toiletries.

The Feed Our Families program for 2018 runs through August 10.

They need help hosting lunches on the following Fridays: July 13, July  20, July 27, August 3 and August 10.

In an effort to ensure they have enough perishables, please RSVP with the number of people in your family. You are welcome to RSVP via email at: [email protected], text 419-206-7927 or call the church office at 419-874-4346.

Registration opens at 11:30, with lunch served at noon. The pantry opens shortly after.
