Hull Prairie named first STEM-designated school in NW Ohio!
Perrysburg Schools is pleased to announce that the Ohio Department of Education has named Hull Prairie Intermediate School (HPI) as the first STEM-designated school in Northwest Ohio. The goal of STEM schools is to foster intellectual, entrepreneurial and technical talent and to help students become innovators and inventors, self-reliant and logical thinkers and technologically proficient problem solvers.
Below are eight of the qualities that will define the Hull Prairie Intermediate STEM School commitment:

Hull Prairie faculty will start with a team-building retreat on May 31, where motivational speaker Cea Cohen-Elliott will work with staff to help nurture a collaborative and reflective start to the year. On June 14 and 15, staff members will join Dr. Jodi Haney for two days of project-based learning training. One of the hallmarks of a STEM school is the commitment to relevant problem-based approaches to learning.
A HPI administrator/teacher team will join the Ohio STEM Learning Network in Innovative Leaders training beginning in May, as well.
