Jacket Gymnasts take 1st Place at Patriot Invite

The Jacket Gymnasts traveled to Patrick Henry on Saturday, January 9, 2021 to compete in the Patriot Invite. The Jackets scored a 136.65 to capture first place. The second place team was Findlay High School with a 125.55.
 
Leading the team off were the captains. Genevieve Thomas placed 2nd on bars and 3rd on vault. Katie Ruby placed 3rd on bars. Emma Gardner started the team off on the balance beam with no falls.
 
Junior Anna Miller contributed to the team score with a 2nd place on vault. Junior, Grace Leonard placed 5th on bars.
 
Sophomore Emily Myers placed 4th on the balance beam with a no falls. Emma Palmer’s vault and beam score counted towards the team total score. Allison Kulmatycki’s vault and floor score counted towards the team’s win.
 
Freshman Ava Kincaid’s floor score counted toward the team’s total and on vault she placed 4th. Grace Helton in her first meet as a Jacket Gymnast placed 5th on vault and won the floor exercise with a high score of the day of 9.4.
 
The following Jacket Gymnasts also competed for the Jackets at the Patriot Invite: Junior Julie Rajner; Sophomores Raegan Ruehle, Carley Milligan and Kara Lintner.
 
The Jacket Gymnasts started off the season with a big win under the Head Coach Michelle Caufman, Assistant Coach Mykel Zwayer and Assistant Coach Danielle Tulodzieski. The Jacket Gymnasts are looking forward to having a winning season. Congratulations to all the Gymnasts and Coaches.
