PHS Girls Lacrosse Team NLL Champions

The Perrysburg High School Girls Lacrosse Team was undefeated in the NLL and captured the title by beating Anthony Wayne on May 2nd 26-1. Emma Carter, Olivia Alvarado and Katie McCullough had four goals each. Lydia Knowlton and Alaina Dunphy had hat tricks, Grace Garee and Kaylee Alarcon scored twice and Lauren Getchey, Jordan Lambdin, Sarah Olmstead and Alex Palmer each had one goal. Defense played tough and allowed only one goal.

The team hosted Maumee Valley Country Day the following day to win 21-4. The following goals were made: Carter (4), Alvarado (4), Knowlton (3), Dunphy (2) Julia Irwin (2) and McCullough (2). Olmstead, Garee, Mia Haschak and Sarah Hooper all scored once.

The Jackets played a tough game against St. Ursula Academy to come back and win 5-4. Defense was critical, especially in the 2nd half holding off Arrow offense including Delaney Rimer with 4 goalie stops. Scorers were Carter with two, Knowlton, Olmstead and Dunphy with one goal each.

May 13th, Perrysburg will host Sylvania Northview in the 1st round of tournament play.
