Jacket Gymnasts win 4th NLL title in a row

The Jacket Gymnasts hosted the NLL Championship Meet at the Perrysburg YMCA Gymnastics Center on Saturday, February 9, 2019. The Jacket Gymnasts won their fourth consecutive NLL championship meet in a row. The Jacket Gymnasts scored a 138.925 and beat the second place Springfield Blue Devils, who scored a 129.45. In third place was Maumee with a 128.025. Napoleon placed fourth with a 110.475. Northview was fifth with a score of 100.325. Anthony was 6th and Southview was 7th.

Winner of the gold medal on vault for the Jacket Gymnasts was Caitlin Madigan with a 9.0. 4th place was Gen Thomas. 6th was Karrington Scoble. 8th was Anna Miller. 12th was Emma Gardner. 13th was Katie Ruby.

The Jacket Gymnasts dominated the uneven bars by taking 4 of the 5 top spots. Winning the bars for the Jackets was Gen Thomas with an 8.75. 3rd place Caitlin Madigan. 4th place Grace Leonard. 5th place Karrington Scoble. 10th place Claire Hanley. 11th place Anna Miller.

On the balance beam the Jackets took the top 3 spots with the gold, silver and bronze. Winning the gold was Caitlin Madigan with a 9.25; taking the silver medal was Katie Ruby with a 9.0; and winning the bronze was Karrington Scoble. Placing 11th on beam Grace Leonard; tied for 13th Gen Thomas and Kara Cousino.

Placing on the floor exercise for the Jackets in 3rd place was Katie Ruby, Grace Leonard 4th, Caitlin Madigan 5th, Karington Scoble 6th, Gen Thomas 10th and Anna Miller 11th.

Winning the all-around title and the title of NLL Gymnast of the Year 2019 is Caitlin Madigan. Also placing in the all-around for the Jackets Karrington Scoble 3rd and Gen Thomas 4th.

Jacket Gymnasts were awarded to 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention Teams based on their performance at the NLL competition. NLL First Team Members include: Caitlin Madigan, Katie Ruby, Karrington Scoble and Gen Thomas. NLL Second Team Member from Perrysburg is Grace Leonard. NLL Honorable Mention Team Member from Perrysburg is Anna Miller.
