Perrysburg Lady Jackets Compete at Strongsville

The Perrysburg Cross Country Teams competed at Strongsville on Saturday, September 22, 2018. This was a large, competitive meet with our girls finishing 7th out of 30 teams in the Varsity race. The six teams that beat the Lady Jackets are all ranked in Ohio's top 20 cross country teams. Scoring for Varsity were: Aubrey Duhaime who placed 14th overall with a time of 20:10, Ariana Gladieux who placed 18th with a time of 20:22, Jesse Menke who placed 40th overall at 20:46, Hailey Lambdin who placed 66th at 21:22 and Haley Beier who placed 79th coming in at 21:33. Also running in the Varsity race were Emma Francis (21:39), Eva Rando (22:08), Maia Colon (22:33) and Ellen St. Mary finishing in 22:55.

Strongsville received a lot of rain the day before this race, so conditions were quite wet to begin with but after several races the course was pretty torn up and very sloppy. There were also several narrow strips on the course, making passing difficult if not impossible with so many runners. Still, our girls did a very fine job!

There were almost 400 girls running in the open race. The Perrysburg Ladies placed 9th of 25 teams. Following are the Perrysburg girls who ran the open race and their times: Bohman (23:08), M. Adams (23:12), Prindle (23:31), Butler (23:53), Michalak (24:55), Pachell (25:13), Krabbenbos (25:15), Schwegler (25:19), Rohrs (25:37), Carter (25:49), LaMere (26:08), Clark (26:22), Abby Duhaime (26:30), Dolliver (26:47), Rettig (26:57), Owsley (27:04), Annika Keeton (27:09), Mora (27:55), Stringfellow (27:57), Shim (28:06), Arabella Keeton (28:17), J.
