Perrysburg Girls Cross Country Team competes at the 50th Tiffin Carnival

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, the 50th Tiffin Carnival was the host for the latest race for the Perrysburg High School Girls Cross Country Team and hundreds of other runners. Out of 47 Division 1 girls’ teams at Tiffin that day, the Lady Jackets were the 11th best team. Although once again the course was wet and the rain came down, the Perrysburg team came and showed that they were well prepared. Many of our student-athletes had personal best times.

Running for Varsity and inching ever closer to breaking a time under 20 minutes was Aubrey Duhaime with a time of 20:02. Next was Ariana Gladieux at 20:10, improving her time from last week by over two and a half minutes. Emma Francis was next for the Jackets, also shortening her time from last week and clocking 20:38. Fourth on the team was Hailey Lambdin at 20:48. Jesse Menke came in at 20:57 to place as the team’s 5th runner. Next in to the finish was Haley Beier with a 21:36 time, nearly half a minute off of last week's time. Ellen St. Mary rounded out the varsity team at 22:00.1, also shaving more than half a minute off of her time from the previous race.

The JV Jackets placed third out of 30 teams. The JV team was led by senior Eva Rando with her best time this year of 22:00.2. The rest of the team and their times were: Bohman (22:49), M. Adams (22:55), Bohney (23:22), Butler (23:28), Prindle (23:35), Rohrs (24:08), Carter (24:43), Michalak (24:44), Dalton (24:45), Krabbenbos (24:59), Pachell (24:45), Clark (24:59), Schwegler (25:31), Rettig (25:33), Annika Keeton (25:45), La Mere (26:04), Abby Duhaime (26:18), Dolliver (26:24), Owsley (26:33), Mora (26:43), Stringfellow (26:56), Maronn (27:12), J. Adams (27:38), Shim (27:41), Osier (27:46), Arabella Keeton (28:24), Harris (28:57), Arny (30:09) and Rudebock (30:17).

Coach Jon Monheim is pleased with the results and says these student-athletes are on track to reach this year’s goals.
