Dueling Pianos fundraiser to benefit PHS Choirs

Planning is currently under way for Perrysburg Vocal Boosters largest fundraiser of the year, Dueling Pianos 2017, to benefit the Perrysburg High School Choirs.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club in downtown Perrysburg. The evening begins with entertainment provided by the Perrysburg High School Jazz Singers and Women’s Select groups, followed by dueling pianists, Cool 2 Duel. You’ll fill up on delicious food and bid on wonderful auction items.

The event will feature two baby grand pianos, each with a top-notch entertainer who will play requested songs in exchange for tips. The audience can pool tips to increase the likelihood that a song of choice will be played; with all tips to benefit Perrysburg Vocal Music Boosters. The entertainers’ repertoire ranges from classic rock to country, hard rock to R&B, oldies and show tunes to the newest Top 40 hits. The audience is the star of the show - sending up requests, singing and dancing along to favorites, and bantering with performers.

The event is an opportunity for the community to come together behind an organization that serves nearly 150 talented vocal students. Perrysburg Schools has consistently placed among the “Best 100 Communities for Music Education.” This event is organized by the Perrysburg High School Music Boosters and sponsored by C. Sterling Jewelers. Local businesses generously donated items to be auctioned at the event.

“Perrysburg choir students are some of the best in the country,” shared Patty Mattas, PHS Music Boosters president. “We are proud to organize this event and invite the community to come out and have a fun evening to benefit these hardworking students.”
