Board of Education approves Superintendent Contract

For the last 10 years, Perrysburg Schools has been under the leadership of Mr. Thomas Hosler and this evening, the Perrysburg Board of Education voted unanimously to extend his contract for four more years. The new contract will have Hosler lead the district of nearly 5,300 students through 2021.

“Mr. Hosler has proven to be an outstanding leader who continues to make a difference for our students, our community and beyond,” stated Jarman Davis, Board President. “It is widely known that Perrysburg Schools is a destination district and we are fortunate to have Mr. Hosler serving as superintendent.”

“From academics to extracurriculars, Mr. Hosler remains focused on students,” stated Ray Pohlman, Board Vice President. “In an era where superintendent turnover plagues communities, it is wonderful to be able to keep our high-performing team together.” He also pointed to the district’s success in managing student growth, implementing a one-to-one laptop program and a development program.

Mr. Hosler recently celebrated his 10th year as Perrysburg’s leader and his 18th overall as a superintendent, serving previously as a superintendent at Huron Schools, in Huron Township, Michigan. Mr. Hosler also served as principal in Michigan as well as a teacher, coach and administrator at Toledo St. John’s Jesuit.

Mr. Hosler’s salary for the 2017-18 school year will be $148,432 and increases will be based on his and the district’s overall performance.
