Perrysburg Varsity and JV Jacket Gymnasts Home Opener

Perrysburg Varsity and JV Jacket Gymnasts had their home opener on December 30th at the Perrysburg YMCA Gymnastics Center. Both teams dominated over Patrick Henry. Perrysburg Varsity 1st Place Team 136.50 over Patrick Henry 125.05. Perrysburg JV 1st Place team 113.10 over Patrick Henry JV 67.55.

Varsity individual scores and places are as follows: Junior Katie Ruby lead the Jacket Gymnasts Vault 7.800 8th, Bars 8.250 2nd, Beam 9.25 1st, Floor 8.75 3rd, All Around 34.05 1st. Following close behind was Junior, Gen Thomas, Vault 8.05 3rd, Bars 8.4 1st, Beam 9.15 2nd, Floor 8.4 7th, All around 34.00 2nd. Senior, Karrington Scoble, Vault 7.95 5th, Bars 8.05 4th, Beam 8.300 6th, Floor 8.90 2nd, All Around 33.20 3rd.

Freshman Emma Palmer led the Jackets on Vault 8.0 4th, Bars 7.85 6th, Beam 8.15 7th, Floor 9.05 1st, All Around 33.05 4th. Another Freshman contributor to the varsity team, Raegan Ruehle, on vault 8.40 1st, Bars 8.10 3rd, Beam 8.10 8th tie, Floor 8.25 8th tie, All Around 32.850 5th. Four-year veteran, Kara Cousino, Vault 7.400 11th tie, Bars 7.55 9th, Beam 8.750 4th, Floor 8.0 10th tie, All Around 31.700 7th. Sophomore Anna Miller helped varsity out on Vault 8.20 2nd, Bars 7.80 7th, Beam 6.80 13th, Floor 8.70 4th, All Around 31.50 8th. Sophomore, Grace Leonard, Vault 6.95 14th, Bars 7.40 11th, Beam 8.50 5th, Floor 8.55 5th and All Around 31.40 9th. Returning junior Emma Gardner contributed to the team on vault 7.3 13th, Bars 7.5 10th, Beam 8.1 8th tie, Floor 8.0 10th tie, All Around 30.90 11th.

JV Individual Scores and Places
Freshman Kara Lintner lead the JV team on vault 8.05 1st, Bars 7.10 2nd, Beam 6.90 1st, Floor 7.65 3rd in All Around 29.70 1st. Freshman Allison Kulmatycki contributed to JV team on vault 7.8 3rd, Bars 6.9 3rd, Beam 6.7 2nd, Floor 8.15 1st, and All Around 29.55 2nd. Freshman Emily Myers helped on vault 7.85 2nd, Bars 7.3 1st, Beam 6.6 3rd tie, Floor 7.7 2nd, in the All Around 29.45 3rd. Sophomore Julia Rajner Vault 7.3 4th, Bars 5.1 6th, Beam 6.6 3rd tie, Floor 5.4 7th and in the All Around 24.40 4th.

The Jacket Gymnasts’ last home meet will be on Monday, January 20th, 2020 at the Perrysburg YMCA Gymnastics Center located at 12745 Eckel Junction Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551. It is a fundraiser for Duchennes, a form of muscular dystrophy.
