This year, Perrysburg High School is sending two students to the HOBY leadership seminar at Ohio Northern University June 4-7, 2015. The two students, who just completed their sophomore years, are Jennifer Schaller and Priyanka Vemuru. Alexandra Stegman is the alternate. Much of the fee for the students to participate was donated by American Legion Post No. 28, Perrysburg Lions Club and VFW Post 6170, with the balance being covered by Student Council.
HOBY has conducted annual seminars since 1958. During these seminars, 10th graders have the opportunity to meet renowned leaders, interact with them and ask questions. Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership’s (HOBY) goal is to help young people make a difference and become positive catalysts for change—in the home, school, workplace and the community.
