Foundation Grant helps Students sharpen Math Skills

Mrs. Karen Wells, Intervention Teacher, Toth Elementary School purchased a “Wrap-Ups” kit with a Perrysburg Schools Foundation grant. The kit contains “wrap-up” tools for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions practice. The students wrap a string across each key, connecting a number with an answer. The keys are then turned over for self-checking. If the answers are correct, the strings will cover a raised pattern. There is also a CD that provides rap songs for the facts and students can practice wrapping the strings while listening to the songs. The kit includes practice pages for writing the facts as well.

“The students really have fun with the ‘Wrap-Ups’ and ask to use them often,” Mrs. Wells shared. “They have been very useful in practicing math facts. We are so grateful to the Perrysburg Schools Foundation for providing these great additions to our classroom!”
