Jr. High Students perform with Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra
Perrysburg
Symphony Orchestra (PSO), under the direction of Robert Mirakian, presented a
side-by-side concert with 60 members of the Perrysburg Junior High string
section on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Perrysburg High School. Teacher Elizabeth
Cranston directed the students for Scarborough Fair, an English folk song, and
Symphony No. 2 Finale by Tchaikovsky. Guest violinist Merwin Siu also played
the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Barber with PSO. Merwin Siu is first
chair for the second violin section of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. PSO also
performed Symphony N. 7 in A Major by L.V. Beethoven.
PSO will
perform a free Family Christmas Event at Zoar Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. on Friday,
December 12. PSO will return to Perrysburg High School to perform Mother Goose
with the Ballet Theatre of Toledo on Saturday, May 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets may be
purchased at the door. Admission will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+)
