Two PHS students named National Merit Semi-Finalists

Two Perrysburg High School students have been named National Merit Semi-Finalists—Nehal Methi and Stephen (Drew) Cox!

There are approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the nation out of 1.6 million juniors who took the PSAT in October 2015. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. The number of Semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state's percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.

Drew and Nehal will be continuing on in the National Merit Scholarship Competition and will find out in February if they reached Finalist standing.
