Studer Foundation provides Community Support

The Studer Foundation encourages community members to make a tax-deductible donation during this holiday season or at any time throughout the school year. The Studer Foundation is a long-standing assistance fund at Woodland Elementary established in honor of Mr. Larry Studer, former and first principal of Woodland Elementary, at his retirement in 1993. In lieu of gifts, it was Mr. Studer’s wish to start a fund to benefit Woodland families during times of need. Continuing Mr. Studer’s legacy of helping children, the foundation has assisted families during crises, including storm damage, house fires, temporary loss of jobs, illnesses and many other circumstances.

The work of The Studer Foundation continues with the tremendous support of our Perrysburg schools employees, families, community members and retirees. The Woodland Elementary staff annually holds a silent auction along with other fundraisers during the year to continue the work that Mr. Studer began. In years past, the The Studer Foundation has helped in excess of 30 students per school year.

Mr. Studer currently lives in Florida. “He has been invited to visit Woodland next time he returns to Ohio, which will hopefully be early next fall,” stated Brook Price, Principal. “Mr. Studer was touched that The Studer Foundation is thriving and credited several Woodland teacher retirees with developing the Foundation.”

Donations may be made payable to The Studer Foundation and mailed to Woodland Elementary School, 27979 White Road, Perrysburg OH 43551. Any questions may be directed to Mrs. Nikki Ohms at Woodland Elementary: 419-874-8736.
