PJHS #1 in OMEA District 1 Honor Band

Perrysburg Junior High School Band had 21 students accepted to the Ohio Music Education Association District 1 Junior High Honor Band. That puts Perrysburg 1st out of the 32 schools that had students audition. It is also a record number of students accepted from our school. PJHS Band makes up roughly 20% of this year's honor band. This is quite an honor, as they will represent our school and community during their performance at the Stranahan Theater!

To audition for this honors ensemble, students prepared two musical excerpts given out by OMEA and then recorded them at PJHS. Once all of the recordings were made, they were sent to OMEA adjudicators. These adjudicators ranked the recordings from all of the schools, accepting the top players on each of the instruments.
