Perrysburg Schools at a Glance
The Perrysburg Exempted Village Schools are among the finest in the state. Students consistently score high on all standardized tests, including the state’s proficiency tests. The Ohio Department of Education has awarded the district an excellent rating on the state report card each year since 2001-2002.
The district serves approximately 4,500 students in six school buildings: four elementary schools, a junior high school and a senior high school. Central offices are located in the Commodore Building in downtown Perrysburg. The district also offers an All-Day Kindergarten program on a tuition basis.
Located in northwestern Ohio in northern Wood County, Perrysburg is a charming community with a small town atmosphere. Residents benefit from the pleasures of living in a beautiful, historic setting on the south shore of the Maumee River, as well as the advantages offered by the nearby city of Toledo—such as nationally recognized parks, zoo and art museum.
In 2001, the district celebrated the grand opening of a new high school. The 281,630 square foot building consists of two wings—an academic and a fine arts/ athletic area—joined together by the school cafeteria, called the Commons. The building has 82 teaching stations, a 3,000-seat competitive gymnasium with an upstairs running track, as well as a 1,000 seat theatre-style auditorium.
