Revised: October 15, 1998
Student Make-up Work Policy:
1.) All work should be able to be made up provided the following is adhered to;
2.) It is the student's responsibility to secure assignments from their teacher prior to entering the in-school suspension program ;
3.) It is the student's responsibility to complete assignments and present them to the ISS Coordinator, who will in turn place in the appropriate teacher mailboxes;
4.) Tests may be administered by the ISS Coordinator on the day of testing or the regular classroom teacher may administer when the ISS student returns to class.
Student Make-up Work Policy:
1.) It is the student's responsibility to check with the teacher upon returning from an out-of-school suspension and make up any major test(s) or projects that they missed.
2.) There will be NO credit given for missed homework and quizzes.
3.) NOTE: On certain occasions a student may be assigned an out-of-school suspension to be served at the Juvenile Detention Center in their Supervised School Suspension Program (students are not in detention) and the parent is responsible for transportation. In this case the same rules apply (re:credit) since it is still an out-of-school suspension, however the difference would be that JDC likes students to have work to do. Therefore, students should be given assignments if they ask, but credit will only be given for major tests and projects.
Student Make-up Work Policy:
1.) All work should be able to be made up
2.) Once student has been released from detention and returns to school they should have the same number of days as missed to make up work.
