PERRYSBURG MARCHING YELLOW JACKETS 2024-2025 SCHEDULE:

The 2024-2025 schedule is now posted in the Charms calendar. You can access the calendar through the 'Calendar of Events' page on this web site.

* PLEASE DO NOT SCHEDULE VACATIONS DURING BAND CAMP WEEK (July 31, August 1,2,5,6)!! The rehearsals on July 29 and July 30 and performance on 6th are also considered part of the band camp schedule and are required as part of the marching band class. Any conflicts with other PHS activities will be handled on an individual basis.

 
 

SUMMER/AUGUST SCHEDULE:

July 29

Pre-Camp marching rehearsals for new members, ALL percussion and leadership: 2:00-4:30PM; 5:30-8:30PM

July 30

Pre-Camp marching rehearsals for new members, Sophomores, ALL percussion and leadership: 2:00-4:30PM

Pre-Camp ALL members: 5:30-8:30 PM.

July 31, August 1, 2 - BAND CAMP Days 1-3 (see schedule below)

*Camp on August 2 will end at 12:30 PM with no evening rehearsal.


August 3

Uniform issue day - (should only be approximately 15-20 min. per student) Final band fees due at this time.

9:00-10:00am - Seniors

10:00-11:00am - Juniors

11:00-12:15 - Sophomores

12:30-1:15pm - Freshmen A-K

1:15-2:00pm Freshmen J-R

2:00-2:45pm Freshmen S-Z

2:45-3:15pm Anyone who couldn't come earlier.

August 5 & 6 - BAND CAMP Days 4 & 5

Band Camp - Required for all marching band members!

8:00AM-12:30PM - ALL members, marching rehearsal outside and music sectionals

12:30-5:30PM - Lunch and afternoon break

5:30-8:30PM - Music & Marching Rehearsal outside


August 6 - Marching Band Parent Preview Show @ Steinecker Stadium

August 9

 Marching Band full group and section/individual pictures @ PHS - 3:00-5:00pm

August 13 & 15

Regular Class rehearsals begin, 3:35-5:45PM

For the remaining schedule during the school year, please check the CHARMS calendar.

All rehearsals and performances are mandatory. As a marching band, we do not have any "bench" players, so everyone must be present for successful rehearsals and performances. Even one person missing creates a "hole" and causes other members to not be as successful; therefore, there will be few excused absences. Be sure to read the Grading for Marching Band section in the Student Handbook for all policies. Plan ahead and accept your responsibility to the group!
